Children can start learning piano at different ages, and no previous musical experience is needed. If your child is curious about music and enjoys trying new things, they're already off to a great start! We'll get to know your child, understand their starting point and find an approach that suits their age, confidence and ability.

We want learning piano to be something your child looks forward to. Our lessons focus on making music enjoyable, building confidence and celebrating little achievements along the way. Every child learns differently, so we'll take the time to understand what motivates them and help them enjoy their musical journey.

3. How can we help our child practise at home?

You don't need to turn practice into a chore! During your first two months, we'll help your child build a simple, manageable practice routine and give you a clear idea of what they're working on between lessons. Short, regular practice sessions and plenty of encouragement can make a big difference.

4. What if I don't know how to play piano?

That's absolutely fine! You don't need any musical experience to support your child. We'll explain what they're learning, what they should focus on at home and how you can encourage them. Your enthusiasm and support are much more important than knowing how to play yourself.

5. Do we need a piano at home?

Having access to a keyboard or piano at home will help your child practise and become familiar with the instrument. You don't necessarily need to invest in a full-sized piano straight away. A suitable keyboard can be a great starting point, and we're happy to help you understand what your child will need.

6. How will we know if our child is making progress?

Progress isn't just about learning new songs. It's also about growing confidence, developing coordination and enjoying the experience of making music. During your first two calendar months, we'll check in on how things are going, help you understand what your child is working towards and offer guidance if anything needs adjusting.

7. How much do piano lessons cost?

Your first step is a one-off piano trial lesson, which costs £32 for 30 minutes. If your child enjoys the experience and you'd like to continue, ongoing weekly 30-minute lessons are available through a £120 monthly subscription.We'll explain how everything works and answer any questions before you decide to continue.

We offer 30-minute piano lessons, with ongoing lessons taking place weekly. Get in touch to find out about current availability and find a suitable time for your child.

9. What instruments do you teach?

Accepted Answer

We offer instruction in a wide range of instruments and subjects, including guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, vocals, violin and music theory, with more subjects being added regularly. We have also recently started group guitar classes and rock band classes. Please ask if you're looking for something specific.

10. What ages do you teach?

We teach students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to mature students. However, we generally do not recommend starting lessons before age 4, as younger children often lack the focus required for structured learning. If the student has any specific learning needs or support requirements, please inform us in advance so we can assess how best to accommodate them.

12. What if I miss a lesson?

We do not offer refunds for missed lessons. However, to make things more flexible, we allow students to reschedule a missed lesson within one week before or after the original booking, subject to availability.

If a teacher cancels a lesson, we offer a lesson banking system—the missed session can be stored and used at your discretion at a later date.

13. Do you offer a lesson freeze for holidays?

Yes. Each student is allowed one one-month lesson freeze per calendar year. The freeze must run from the start to the end of a calendar month, it cannot be applied mid-month. During a freeze, you don’t pay for that month, and your time slot remains secured.

14. Are there performance or showcase opportunities?

Yes. We hold events throughout the year where students can perform and share their progress. Participation is encouraged but not required.
